FIRST BUSINESS ADVICE

My name is Carl Wheeler. I started my first business when I was twenty five years old, made a lot of money for a short period of time and failed because I was not properly prepared. I started my second business when I was twenty nine years old, much better prepared and went on to generate millions of dollars in sales and earn a very good living. I have started over a dozen businesses from scratch and in my book I will tell you how I did it.

This is not a get rich quick late night TV fast money deal. This is not some multi-level marketing, sit back make money off of your friend’s idea. This is not some get rich quick buy tax sale property business. This is the bare bones basics your Rich Uncle Carl would tell you if you had a Rich Uncle Carl. I am not pushing any particular product or type of business. I just want to show you the basics of how to look at starting a business. It doesn’t matter to me what kind of business you want to start. If you want to learn how to start a manufacturer’s representative sales agency or how to buy and sell antiques my web site will be helpful. Or you might want to learn how to manufacture cowboy shirts or how to sell boots, cowboy hats and belt buckles. Possibly you want to learn how manufacture cosmetics or how to sell arthritis relief products. Possibly you would like to create your own line of cologne. It might be that you would like to start a hospital insurance recovery business to (help them find unknown sources of payments). Maybe you want to start a Do-It-Yourself Plumbing Store. Maybe you want to learn how to become a home builder or learn how to buy and sell real estate. You might even want to know how to move a house or how to rehab houses as a business. I have personally started each of the above businesses and several more. With each business I used the same basic principals for starting a business.

You may be a person that thinks in terms of saving the planet and saving energy. You may want to learn how to sell radiant barrier, insulation and other energy saving products. You may want to learn how to start a landscaping business or how to start a delivery service. Maybe you are retired and you would like to make just a little extra spending money. You might like to learn how to sell at flea markets and home shows or how to sell on E-bay. Possibly you are not as physically active as you once were and you want to know how to work from your home or how to start an internet business. However, that is not discussed in this book but I will suggest other resources for you on this web site if that is your interest. Obviously my new web business is working or you would not be here right now.

My book gives you an overview of how I physically started many of my various businesses and you will understand the very basics of starting any business. It doesn’t matter if you want to start a business of selling camels in the desert or furs in Alaska the same basic principals apply. It doesn’t matter if you are seven or seventy-seven, male or female the same basic steps to start a business are the same. Once you look at it my way, starting a business will become much less overwhelming.

My book will help take the fear and mystery out of starting your first business. It was written for those people that have never started any kind of business and are not sure how to begin. It will take you by the hand and walk you through the bare bones basics. I will tell you the A B C steps used by beginners and professionals alike. I will tell you what to do first, next and last to get started. This book is written in very average man language because that is what I am, a very average man that that has started over a dozen successful businesses. My businesses and I have sold over fifty million dollars worth of goods and services. This book will walk you through many of my experiences and tell you how you may do the same. My approach is so basic anyone from any background can understand how to start a business. It is my belief anyone with a real desire can start and run a successful business.

My book comes with no guarantee for success. My approach to business has worked well for me and it should work for you. Many people that read books on motivation and self improvement or how to do something new never take any action what so ever. It will be up to you, without new action nothing new happens. Learn how to simplify how you analyze and make decisions. Even if you do not ever take that first step to start your first business you could benefit by how you look at solving your everyday problems. This basic understanding of how to start a business could change your life forever.
